About ASF

The ASF was formed in 1989 to promote the development of securitisation in Australia. As the peak industry body representing the securitisation market, the ASF performs a pivotal role in the education of government, regulators, the public, investors and others who have an interest or potential interest both in Australia and overseas, regarding the benefits of securitisation in Australia and aspects of the securitisation industry.

The ASF offers a unique opportunity for its members to participate meaningfully, with a diverse range of professional colleagues and peers, in shaping the future of securitisation.

The three main goals of the ASF are as follows:

  • Advocacy: To mount focused efforts to advance the ASF¡¦s substantive positions by interacting with appropriate governmental, regulatory, accounting, legislative and other policy-making bodies at global and national level;
  • Consensus: To build consensus within the industry on issues of broad importance to the participants involved;
  • Education: To inform and educate the securitisation community and related constituencies, to provide high-quality conferences, workshops and educational programmes.
